May 25th - May 26thCamp Retreat

The annual Hope retreat at Camp Assiniboia will be on May 25- 26, 2024 (the weekend after the May long...)

Once a year our church gathers at Camp Assiniboia for a retreat. This event is great fun and is time for our church community to be outside, play, eat, and worship together.

On Saturday will be having lunch (hopefully outside), fun camp activities throughout the afternoon including archery and the ropes course, supper, and an evening bonfire with potluck snacks. All are welcome to stay at camp for night. Then on Sunday, there is a continental breakfast, a worship service, and lunch. Come for it all, or parts!

The cost of the event is fully covered by the church. We work the fees into our budget each year.

For folks that want to stay the night at camp, there are a few different options. There are some rooms in the lodge, cabins, or you are welcome to bring a tent or camper. Please pick whichever option suits you best.

We invite everyone to bring a potluck snack to share for Saturday evening. And if you know there are people in your household that like snacking throughout the day, please bring snacks for your household. There will be a coffee bar with hot chocolate, coffee, and tea available throughout, but food is only served at meal times.

You are also welcome to bring board games, card games, outdoor activities, etc. If you want to do the activity at camp, you have the supplies for it, and you are willing to share with other, please bring it along.

Come for the whole retreat or for parts of it, we just need to know ahead of time what your household is doing. This is why we have a registration form that we ask everyone who is coming to the retreat to fill out.
Please register as soon as you know how much of the retreat you would like to participate in. We need to know our total numbers by May 10.

If you have any questions about the retreat, please reach out to any member of BRiC (Building Relationships in the Congregation Committee): John Hutton, Heidi Nighswander-Rempel, and Selenna Wolfe.
