Children's Circle and Youth

Hope Mennonite Church joyfully welcomes Children and Youth!

Children's Circle and Youth

In Fall, 2020, we offered Children’s Circle and Youth:
- Outside, in parks
- Using curriculum and activities inspired by the Wild Church movement and A Rocha
- Close to Thomson (where we typically meet for services)
**We ask families to bring their own lunch and hand-sanitizer

Winnipeg is now: CODE ORANGE. We will NOT be meeting outside for Children's Circle and Youth.

Children under 12 will be accompanied by either:
1.  Their parent or adult caregiver, or
2.  Another family’s parent or adult caregiver.
That is – At least one adult will accompany every two sets of siblings.

During non-Covid times, we have typically offered Children’s Circle and Youth programs:
- 3 times per month, after the regular service
- October to May

Children’s Circle for Children aged 2 – 5

Children have a snack, hear a story with Godly-Play visuals, and do an art or drama or other activity relating to the Bible story.
We use Godly Play (Montessori-structured) curriculum . There are two volunteers guiding the children.  Parents are often present to help out where they can.

Children’s Circle for Children aged 6 – 11

We use Shine and Joyful Path curricula. There are three volunteers guiding the children.  Parents are welcome but are not required.

Youth Group

We use a variety of curricula and resource people. The Associate Pastor and one volunteer guide the youth. Youth often have a once a month fun activity outside of regular church hours.
